Our Mission

Credit card rewards are complicated. Issuers publish dense terms, earning rates vary by category, annual fees cloud the picture, and stacking cards introduces combinatorial complexity that no human can solve by intuition. OptimalCardSetup exists to cut through that complexity with mathematics.

We believe everyone deserves access to the same caliber of analysis that financial professionals use — without paying for a financial advisor and without relying on subjective "top 10" lists that ignore your actual spending.

How It Works

You tell us how much you spend each month across categories like dining, groceries, travel, and gas. Our optimizer — powered by Google's OR-Tools CP-SAT constraint solver — evaluates every valid combination of credit cards and returns the setup that maximizes your net rewards value (earnings minus annual fees). The result isn't a guess or a heuristic. It's a provably optimal solution.

Independence

OptimalCardSetup may earn revenue from affiliate commissions when users apply for credit cards through links on our site. These relationships have zero influence on optimization results. The solver does not know which cards have affiliate partnerships, does not factor commissions into its objective function, and produces the same mathematically optimal result regardless of business relationships.
